When you choose to give birth at the Birth Center, the course of care is the same as if you chose a homebirth- except you come to our house instead! We are located less than a mile from Cottage Hospital, a five minute drive.
The Birth Center provides a comfortable, family-friendly environment and offers two private rooms with queen beds and birthing tubs, large bathrooms with walk-in showers and a fully-equipped kitchen.
Our mission: The Santa Barbara Birth Center is a non-profit corporation established in 2011 to provide education, support and services to pregnant people and their families during the childbearing years, working within the midwifery model of care and in collaboration with the greater medical community. Pregnant people are attended by the same midwives throughout their pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum, assuring the highest-quality continuity of care.
