This is a succinct, extraordinary short film by local filmmaker Debby Takikawa that explores the reasons why the US has among the worst maternal/infant mortality rate among developed nations. We hear from obstetricians, family doctors, midwives and researchers about what can be done to decrease this appalling trend. The answer has a lot to do with midwives.
